KURDISTAN SS CARGO SHIP
Kurdistan SS was a British Cargo Steamer of 5, 844 tons built in 1928. On the 10th December 1941 she was on route from New York & Sydney (N.S.) for Manchester carrying a cargo of 4,256 tons of food products, 2,100 tons of base metal and 178 tons of textiles when she was torpedoed by U-130 and sunk. 10 crew died and 56 survived.
